MICE industry to meet in Prague

Copenhagen Convention Bureau director among the speakers

Steen Jakobsen, director of the Copenhagen Convention Bureau and vice-president of the International Congress and Conference Association, is one of the key speakers invited to talk at a major seminar next week that aims to answer the question “what makes a meeting destination successful?” The February 9 seminar is being organised by the Prague Convention Bureau in cooperation with the Czech Convention Bureau. The high-profile event will also look at how a destination can achieve its potential in the meetings market and also the issue of financing convention bureaus – or return on investment for public funding in the meeting industry.
It the first time such an event is taking place in Prague. The seminar is intended mainly for political representatives. Besides Steen Jakobsen, invited speakers are coming from Vienna, South Africa and the UK.
