MICE planners turn attention to Arabia event

Bigger and better event promised for IBTM Arabia 2016
As a result of renewed economic confidence, next year’s edition of IBTM Arabia is anticipated to be bigger and better due to the rapid pace of development experienced by the region’s MICE sector.
Throughout IBTM Arabia 2016, due to take place on February 9-11 at the 5-star Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, regional exhibitors will be paired with top international meeting planners as well as those from the Middle East.
The 2016 edition will again focus on maintaining unique profile matching to ensure quality of appointments for both buyers and suppliers.
Attending IBTM Arabia 2016 as a hosted buyer, Lucie Eursels, global travel and MICE manager at AW Europe, said: “My goal is to gain knowledge on the Middle East region and make contacts for my company’s future events. IBTM Arabia will add value to our business as it will reduce my time on research, as I will have direct contact with the suppliers.”
Also attending, Ekaterina Nogaeva, P&S marketing manager at Peugeot Citroen Russia, added: “Our company is looking to organise some incentive trips in the UAE and for that reason we have chosen to attend.”
Other meeting and conference planners confirmed to attend include Korea Railroad Research Institute, Abbott, Cognizant, Kuoni MICE & Special Groups and Exclusive Services Group. IBTM Arabia is being strongly supported by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, the Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau and Etihad Airways.
