More competition on Prague-Helsinki route

Czech Airlines goes head-to-head with Finnair, Norwegian
Czech Airlines started flights between Helsinki and Prague on March 3, pushing the number of weekly flights to Prague up to 31 in summer 2016. Finnair and Norwegian are also flying between the two airports.
Passengers travelling on the route benefit from Helsinki’s connections to Asia, the airport stresses. This summer, there will be a total of 17 flight connections to Asia from the Finnish hub, including Finnair’s new flights to Fukuoka in Japan and Guangzhou in China.
“We warmly welcome Czech Airlines to Helsinki Airport”, said Mikko Komi, head of route development at Finavia. “Thanks to their new flights, the traffic to Prague almost doubles during the summer, which is a great thing for our passengers. It will be easier to travel to the capital of Czech Republic, located on the shore of the Vltava River, even for a weekend.”
The last time CSA flew between Helsinki and Prague was five years ago. The airline has announced that the flights will be operated with Airbus 319.
