More than 30 new Nordics-Russia routes planned

Russia and Scandinavia ready for new bilateral agreement

Norway, Denmark and Sweden are busy on a new bilateral agreement with Russia to replace a document signed in 1956. The new agreement will pave the way for more than 30 new scheduled routes to the east. Further negotiations are scheduled for the end of this year or early 2013.
Aviation authorities in Russian want approval for flights to be operated from Russia to Stockholm, Goteborg, Lulea, Malmo and Ostersund in Sweden; Copenhagen, Billund and one more airport in Denmark; and Oslo, Bergen, Fagernes, Haugesund, Kirkenes, Stavanger, Tromso and Trondheim in Norway.
Swedish carriers want to fly from Sweden to Moscow, St Petersburg and three additional airports in Russia. Danish carriers are looking at services between Denmark and Moscow, St Petersburg and Kaliningrad. Norwegian airlines want routes from Norway to Moscow, St Petersburg, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and four further points.
