Tourists plan visits to Disney’s “Frozen” landscapes
Norwegian tourism officials say they are already seeing the positive effects of having worked on the recent big-hit movie Frozen, with incoming numbers rising especially from the US.
American tourists will be looking for the majestic landscapes shown in Disney’s award-winning animated movie Frozen, which has taken more than a billion dollars in box office revenues, making it the 13th biggest grossing movie of all time.
“We’ve seen a 350% increase in visits to our site from the US,” Per-Arne Tuftin, Innovation Norway’s tourism chief, told the public broadcaster NRK. “A number of our partners have also had big increases on their sites. We will gradually start to see more concrete economic results but this is looking good.”
