Moxy Times Square deploys spicy message marketing

The 612-key Moxy Times Square is inviting everyone in New York to text the property, under a new marketing drive called ‘For a Good Night, Text’. Anyone who texts gets an automatic reply that reads, partly, “We want to get in bed w/ you ASAP cutie – so give me a ring.”

The design-driven Midtown property’s campaign is part of an initiative whose billboards have popped up in target locations in New York City such as Union Square, the Lower East Side, East Village, Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen.

Moxy is a new, “fun, vibrant and stylish” hotel brand launched by Marriott International in 2014. Among the brand’s first properties was the 276-room Moxy Oslo X.

Cheeky reply
Curious texters are greeted with the cheeky reply, “Hey there! Thanks for texting Moxy Times Square. Now that we’ve been introduced, let me tell you a bit about myself. I’ve got 612 rooms, 5 places to grab a bite & the city’s largest indoor/outdoor hotel rooftop lounge. There’s a ton of ways to get lucky over here at 36th St and 7th Ave ;). We want to get in bed w/ you ASAP cutie – so give me a ring at 212-967-6699 or check out.”
