New Norwegian airline gets first aircraft

Norway’s Flynonstop to launch operations with E190

Flynonstop, a start-up airline based in Kristiansand, Norway, has received its first aircraft – an Embraer 190 – at a ceremony at the Brazilian manufacturer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos. The aircraft, leased from a third party, will be used to launch nonstop routes between Kristiansand and cities in Southern and Central Europe, including London City Airport.
Flynonstop’s E190 is configured with 100 “elite” seats in single-class configuration. The airline says it will launch flights from Kristiansand “to tap into the growing demand for scheduled non-stop air service to/from Norway”.
Daniel Lundberg, the start-up’s CEO, said the aircraft would “allow us to schedule direct routes with eco-efficient aircraft, providing our passengers with a high level of comfort. The E190 will also help us to develop our direct flight network with enhanced frequency and routes in response to the growing and seasonal demand from Norwegian passengers who need to reach some key European cities.”
