Nordic agents to earn commission on Heathrow tickets

Agents can now earn on Heathrow Express booked via Travelport
Travel agents in the Nordics as well as in the UK and Ireland can now earn commission on Heathrow Express tickets booked through Travelport Smartpoint.
The announcement by Travelport follows the launch earlier this year of the travel commerce platform’s “industry-first solution” offering airport express services to agencies through a plugin on its Travel Commerce Platform.
The plugin, which is accessible via the point-of-sale solution Travelport Smartpoint, was first adopted by Heathrow Express and offers user-friendly and seamless connectivity for agents booking airport express services, which operate frequent and fast rail services between an airport and city.
In addition, the plugin enables multiple airport express service providers connectivity through a single application, and enables on-account payment by applying directly to Heathrow Express.
Offering electronic ticketing where available, it supports euro as well as pound sterling and US dollar currencies for Heathrow Express tickets. To find out more, Travelport advises agents to get in touch with their account manager.
“Travelport’s airport express system has been helping us achieve our goal of seamless travel,” said Fraser Brown, director of Heathrow Express. “As part of this, we are pleased that travel agency customers can maximise revenues via Travelport Smartpoint.”
