Nordic Business Travel Award winners named

The first Nordic Business Travel Awards were staged at the Clarion Hotel in Helsinki last night.

The best Nordic business travel providers for this year were named at the first Nordic Business Travel Awards at the Clarion Hotel in Helsinki last night.

The awards are part of the Nordic Business Travel Summit 2018, taking place at the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel in the Finnish capital on March 15-16, the 11th edition of the Nordic meeting for travel management professionals.

People working in the Scandinavian business travel field had the chance to vote for their favourite suppliers in different categories.

Nordic travel managers and buyers of travel services from member companies in the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish business travel associations DBTA, FBTA, NBTA and SBTA were able to take part in the voting.

The winners were announced as:
Best Airline: Finnair
Best Travel Management Company: HRG Nordic
Best Hotel Chain: Clarion Hotels
Best Payment Provider for Corporate Travel Management: First Card
Best Car Rental Company: Europcar
Best Sales / KAM / AM Department: Clarion Hotels

Top three
The top three in each category were also named:
Airlines: BRA, Finnair, SAS
Hotels Chains: Clarion Hotels, Scandic Hotels, Sokos Hotels
Car Rental: Avis, Europcar, Hertz
Travel Management Companies: BCD Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, HRG Nordic
Payment Providers: Air Plus, Eurocard, First Card
Sales / KAM / AM Departments: Clarion Hotels, BCD Travel, First Card

The Nordic Business Travel Awards are the result of cooperation between the research institute Nordic Bench and the four business travel associations DBTA, FBTA, NBTA and SBTA.

The prize ceremony will be held again at next year’s Nordic Business Travel Summit, which alternates between the Nordic countries each year.

The basis for the awards is a survey among the approximately 350 companies that are members of the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish business travel associations, which tend to be the biggest companies in the market in terms of turnover, number of employees and travel budget. The highest merged Nordic score in each award category wins.
