Nordic visitors to US to give personal data

US may demand social media passwords, phone contacts
People visiting the US from a large number of countries, including the Nordics, may soon be forced to give detailed personal information – or be denied access.
A new ‘extreme vetting’ policy which the Trump administration is considering could force visitors to hand over social media passwords, mobile phone contacts and other personal data.
Travellers from Scandinavia, the UK, Germany, France and other US allies would also have to reveal financial information and be questioned on ideological views.
US Customs and Border Protection said that “all international travellers arriving to the US are subject to […] inspection.” This “may include electronic devices such as computers, disks, drives, tapes, mobile phones and other communication devices, cameras, music and other media players and any other electronic or digital devices.”
