Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman saw a positive outcome during a recent Scandinavian roadshow, according to its general manager and the trip’s organiser Ajman Tourism Development Department.
According to the general manager, Iftikhar Hamdani, connections with tour operators and agents in Denmark, Norway and Finland were established easily on sharing the property’s environmentally focused initiatives during the week-long roadshow.
“We are in Scandinavia to promote Ajman as a tourist destination and our three hotels,” he revealed. “When I mentioned our sustainable initiatives, I got an overwhelmingly upbeat response, as these countries have always been at the forefront of global conservation.”
Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman has a waste management system that diverts 90% of waste away from the landfill. It also has water conservation equipment such as a dewaterer and macerator machine, as well as a compost machine, which aids in converting waste into fertilisers, its own urban farm and a reverse osmosis water plant.
