Norwegian: 11% growth, ups Karup capacity

Karup-CPH gets Boeing 737-800s with 186 or 189 seats

Norwegian is continuing to intensify its flights between Copenhagen and Karup, but not by deploying more frequencies. From the start of the winter schedules, the airline’s leased Boeing 737-300 and -700 aircraft with room for 148 passengers will be replaced by Norwegian’s own Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 186 or 189 seats. This will mean many more additional seats, useful for West Jutland businesspeople attending meetings and conferences in Copenhagen.
Meanwhile, Norwegian reports “solid” traffic figures for September. Passenger growth was up 11% compared with the same month in the previous year. Even with capacity growth of 21%, load factor for the month was 80%, the carrier said.
