Norwegian in “world’s first” theatre stunt

Ibsen’s “Peer Gynt” to be staged on domestic flight

On May 2, “Peer Gynt”, the famous play by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, will unfold aboard the 17.40 Norwegian flight DY624 between Oslo and Bergen. The theatrical experience starts at Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport, continues on board and rounds off at the airport in Bergen. The occasion is the 25th anniversary of the Peer Gynt Festival.
“This is an event for all ‘Peer Gynt’ fans and a stunt we’ve never done before,” Marit Lien, CEO of Peer Gynt AS, says. “Passengers will get a very special experience and a small taster of the original version of the successful performance of the gala with Dennis Storhøi in the title role. For all we know, this is the world’s first flying-theatre experience.”
