Airline currently operates 37 routes from Finland
Norwegian and Helsinki Airport passed a new milestone this week – five million passengers in Finland so far. The airline launched flights from Helsinki in 2010, opened a base there in 2011 and currently operates 37 routes from Finland.
From Helsinki, Norwegian has connections to 28 destinations abroad and four destinations in Finland.
Leisure and business travellers are also making use of Norwegian’s long-distance flights to the United States and Thailand via Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, according to Helsinki Airport.
“Norwegian has been well received in Finland and we now have an established position in the Finnish market,” Norwegian CEO Bjørn Kjos said in a statement.
