Norwegian pushes into South America

Norwegian Air Argentina S.A. is established
Norwegian has got the ball rolling for its South American operations, setting up an Argentinean holding company.
Norwegian Air Argentina S.A. was established on January 25, according to local media reports, with its board members said to be three local lawyers, Diego Ferrari (chief executive officer and chairman), Matias Cambiaso and Hernán Ferrari.
The business is preparing to launch domestic as well as international scheduled and chartered flights.
Last year, Norwegian’s communications and institutional relations director for Spain, Alfons Claver, told La Nacion newspaper that the LCC would base six to ten 737-800s and 737 MAX 8s in two or three Argentinean cities. Cities under consideration include Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Mendoza. Routes to Buenos Aires and also to Havana in Cuba are said to be among those currently planned.
