Norwegian to launch from Cork to USA, Spain

Low-cost carrier reveals flights to Boston, New York, Barcelona
Norwegian has revealed plans to launch new direct transatlantic services between Cork in Ireland and Boston and New York, as well as a new Cork-Barcelona route.
The US routes will be the only transatlantic flights to operate from Cork Airport. They will operate under Norwegian’s Irish subsidiary Norwegian Air International and form part of its plans for continued expansion in the UK and Ireland.
Cork-Boston is planned for May 2016 with four to five flights a week, and Cork-Barcelona is due in the same month, also with four to five flights a week. Cork-New York will launch in 2017.
The carrier already offers the UK’s only low-cost long-haul flights between London Gatwick and New York, LA, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Boston. It has a series of new-generation Boeing 737 aircraft on order.
