Norwegian traffic up 12% in November

CEO happy with “positive development in unit revenue”

Norwegian reports this morning that its passenger growth continued during the month of November, up 12% compared with the same month in the previous year. The airline flew precisely 1,458,872 passengers during the month. Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 21%, total capacity (ASK) by 23%. Unit revenue developed positively, with a RASK increase of 5%. The load factor in November was 76%.
Norwegian’s CEO Bjørn Kjos said he was “pleased with November’s traffic figures, particularly with the positive development in unit revenue given the high capacity increase in a seasonally slow period of the year.” He added that the growth “proves that our low fares, extensive route network, brand-new and more eco-friendly aircraft with better comfort and free inflight WiFi are well received.”
