Orient Express to debut in Scandinavia in 2013

Venice Simplon-Orient-Express to visit Stockholm for first time

The iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express has announced that it will embark on a series of new scheduled rail voyages taking it up to Scandinavia in 2013, visiting Stockholm for the first time in its history. Next year will see the VSOE make its debut in Scandinavia on a two-night rail voyage from Venice to Stockholm, via an overnight stop in Copenhagen. Departing Stockholm on the April 12, the train will travel through Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. A number of packages of varying duration are on offer, giving a choice of departure or arrival city.
The vintage 1920s and 1930s Art Deco carriages transport guests back to an elegant age of travel. Romance, adventure and style are bound up in journeys and tours that criss-cross Europe to cities such as Venice, Prague, Budapest, Krakow and Dresden with a special journey to Istanbul once a year.
