Oslo to get new “twin-tower” hotels

Rezidor Hotel Group plans shared facilities in adjacent hotels

Two new hotels have been announced for Oslo – in adjacent towers but of different classes. The 135-room Radisson Blu Hotel Oslo Alna and the 208-room Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Alna will have shared facilities and management but will maintain their different guest-room structures. Their opening is scheduled for the third quarter of 2013, Rezidor Hotel Group says. Both properties are owned by the Norwegian-based Wenaasgruppen, one of Rezidor’s most important development partners.
The new hotels are located 10km east of the city centre in a location along the E6, the main road connecting Oslo with the airport. Radisson Blu is classed as an “upper upscale” brand and Park Inn by Radisson a “young and dynamic mid-market” brand. Yet the two new hotels will have a shared restaurant, bar, fitness centre, parking and 1,200 sq m of conference space.
