Out-of-the-way hotel is “best in Denmark”

TripAdvisor points to Bandholm Hotel on island of Lolland
The best hotel in Denmark is a little off the beaten track. According to travel review site TripAdvisor, it is the Bandholm Hotel on the island of Lolland.
The quality property finished top for 2017 on the site’s newly published Travellers’ Choice list of Denmark’s top hotels, based on consumer reviews.
“We are very honoured that our guests have given us such fine ratings and that they have wanted to tell others of their experiences here at Bandholm Hotel,” said manager Joseph Kristiansen.
“Happy guests mean the world to us and is everything in our industry. We work hard every day on all facets of our operations and scour everything to give people the best possible stay with us. We can see that this has paid off and it urges us to continue improving the experience for our guests.”
The 40-room hotel dates back to 1692 and boasts an ocean view. It scored 4.5 to 5 out of a possible 5 in all possible categories, in almost 430 reviews, such as location, overnight quality, rooms, service, value for money and cleanliness.
The Hotel D’Angleterre in Copenhagen came second in the TripAdvisor list, followed by the Villa Provence in Aarhus, Ruth’s Hotel in Skagen and the Hotel Koldingfjord in Kolding.
