Over 100 flights cancelled due to fog

Flights to Stockholm and other European destinations cancelled

Dense fog has affected passenger flights in and out of UK airports this morning. Flights cancelled out of Heathrow include Stockholm, with others being to Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne, Nice, Manchester and Glasgow. Ten flights departing London City Airport were also cancelled, including those to Dublin, Paris and Rotterdam.
Heathrow was forced to cancel 81 departures and 65 arrivals yesterday, then 40 arriving flights and 24 departures today. An early KLM flight from Leeds Bradford Airport was also axed. However, Heathrow is now reporting that the fog is lifting.
