Pilots’ strike this week at Germanwings

Latest strike is the first in 2015 after 10 last year
A two-day strike by pilots is on at Germanwings, Lufthansa’s short-haul budget carrier, in the latest stage of a long-running dispute over retirement benefits.
The union behind the walkout, pilots’ union Vereinigung Cockpit, is also concerned about the Lufthansa Group’s low-cost expansion plans. The union staged 10 strikes during 2014, hitting hundreds of thousands of passengers.
This latest strike is the first in 2015 and will run from tonight until 23:59 on Friday February 13.
