Plane toilet waste may have fallen on couple

New York couple says plane dumped sewage on them

It was a pleasant evening at the back of the house for a couple from Malverne, New York – until an aircraft passing overhead allegedly dumped sewage on them. Artie Hughes recalls hearing a plane leaving Kennedy International Airport but nothing was out of the ordinary until he and his wife felt drops of liquid the size of coins hit their faces.
“It was oily in substance, blackish-greenish oil,” Hughes told the local radio station 1010 WINS. “I thought it was hydraulic fluid and then the policeman came down and said, ‘No, I don’t think so. Looks like something nastier than that’.”
The officer suspected that the liquid could have been treated sewage that leaked out of the plane’s toilet. An airport official later confirmed that there had been a lavatory incident. It is unclear as to whether an investigation has been launched.
