Princess reveals luxury ship deck-top cabanas

Personal adults-only massage areas cost a little extra

The first luxury private deck-top cabanas are now officially in operation on a Princess Cruises ship. The new cabanas, all of which come at an extra charge, are designed for spa treatments and an extra touch of exclusivity.
The 3,560-passenger Royal Princess, which was christened last week by Britain’s Duchess Kate, has four Sanctuary Cabanas in an adults-only area. They have sofas, massage tables, personal television with wireless headphones, robes, slippers, welcome cocktail and snacks.
The cost of the cabanas varies according to their size and position, with Sanctuary Cabanas starting at $80 for a half day and six positioned around a pool starting at $50. An optional picnic with gourmet items and a bottle of wine starts at $40 for two.
