Radisson Blu Resort Trysil wins one of World Ski Awards
The newly established World Ski Awards, focusing on the best ski resorts around the globe, have awarded the Radisson Blu Resort Trysil “Norway’s Best Ski Resort”.
This is the first time the awards have held an award ceremony, which took place at the Kitzbühel ski resort in Austria. Each of the awards is based on votes from winter sports tourism leaders and thousands of hotel guests with a good knowledge of luxury resorts.
The Radisson Blu Resort Trysil located in Fjellheimen in eastern Norway, about two hours’ drive from Oslo, celebrates its fifth anniversary on December 15. The hotel’s 243 rooms are designed in a Norwegian cottage style and the resort includes a bowling alley, spa, relaxation lounge and a variety of bars and restaurants.
“Radisson Blu Resort Trysil is Norway’s largest ski resort,” Pontus Åkesson, its general manager, said, adding that it is “one of Scandinavia’s best alpine areas for children, and we are a true ‘ski in / ski out’ hotel.”
