Radisson to open next to Vilnius airport

Radisson Hotel Group signs a contract for its sixth hotel in Lithuania, expected to open in 2020.

Radisson Hotel Group has signed a contract for its sixth hotel in Lithuania, expected to open next to Vilnius International Airport in 2020.

The management contract is for a property with the lengthy name of the Park Inn by Radisson Vilnius Airport Hotel & Business Centre, to be located within a new business and retail park whose construction is underway.

This 120-room hotel will be the group’s sixth hotel in the Baltic country and the fourth in the city. The group operates two Radisson Blu hotels in the city and also plans to open a Radisson RED.

The group’s portfolio in all three Baltics countries will rise to 18 hotels with more than 4,100 rooms.

The new Park Inn will be just 300 metres from the airport terminal and will include a restaurant, lobby lounge and gym as well as 500sqm of meeting space.

Exciting times
“These are exciting times for Park Inn by Radisson, our upper mid-scale brand, which is gaining fantastic momentum across Europe,” said Elie Younes, chief development officer a Radisson Hotel Group.

“It is a perfect contrasting fit for the baroque city of Vilnius. The area around Vilnius Airport is a fast-developing commercial zone, and Vilnius itself has been ranked one of Europe’s most promising cities for growing businesses that focus on innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.”

Marius Jakulis Jason, hotel owner and director, added: “The Park Inn by Radisson brand is ideal for our new Vilnius Airport Hotel & Business Centre since it is internationally recognised and associated with quality, and offers great value for money to guests.”
