River-cruise trade show scheduled for Amsterdam

River Cruise Expo due in November reveals that the sector is flourishing

A new trade show dedicated entirely to river cruises is being organised later this year. River Cruise Expo, which will take place in Amsterdam on November 20 and 21 and is being organised by the London-based Association of Cruise Experts (ACE), is another sign that the river-cruise sector is continuing to flourish.
Amsterdam is the ideal venue for the trade show as river-cruise boats from companies such as APT, AMA Waterways, Shearings and Elegant River Cruises will be on hand for viewings. Agents registered to attend will even be able to stay on board overnight.
“ACE now has seven river members and we are working together to increase agent knowledge,” said Flo Powell, the association’s director. “We will also be launching an online map making it easy for agents to see the […] range of river cruise destinations.”
Later this month, on March 29, Flo Powell is giving a special river-cruising seminar at “TTG Virtual: Cruise”, an event where agents will be given practical advice and guidance on taking advantage of the growing interest in cruise holidays.
