Rwanda aims for more Nordic tourists

Country participates at TUR Travel Fair in Stockholm
The booming central African country of Rwanda participated in the TUR Travel Fair in Stockholm at the weekend, aiming specifically at the Nordic market, which is seen as one of the most lucrative in Europe.
The trade show at the Stockholm Waterfront Exhibition Centre buyers and a large number of public visitors looking for something new.
“Rwanda has everything Africa has to offer in one country, from mountains for hikers, Savannah wildlife for safari enthusiasts, to rainforests for nature and bird lovers,” Rwandan Ambassador Christine Nkulikiyinka said at an event hosted by Rwanda.
A Stockholm-based Rwandan troupe, Imanzi, entertained guests, and speakers included Erika Lejon Flodin, an Uppsala University student who described her experiences travelling through Rwanda over six weeks.
“Rwanda combines breath-taking landscapes, vegetation, wildlife and, importantly for me, a very safe atmosphere,” she said.
