Sandals opens high-tech immersive store

Retail centre gives insight into luxury all-inclusive brand
The travel shop that’s as posh as the resort, the Daily Mail describes a new £1.5million interactive store opened by the luxury all-inclusive holiday brand Sandals, featuring a wedding lounge and sensory experiences.
The immersive store takes its design inspiration from Sandals’ overseas resorts and is located in Chelsea near Earl’s Court, a part of London that has become popular for leading shops specialising in clothes and accessories for travellers as well as upmarket travel retailers.
Other high-tech travel stores in the area include Virgin Holidays, Kuoni, Trailfinders, including STA Travel, Travelbag and Flight Centre. But Sandals is the first overseas hotel brand to have a stand-alone high-street outlet in the UK.
The new 5,000 sq-ft is designed to “evoke consumers’ imaginations as soon as they walk through the door” with stunning overwater architecture, deluxe furnishings and eclectic art. Huge screens show video footage and there are apps and real-time social feeds.
It gives an insight into the scents, sounds and tastes of the company, so visitors can get a deeper understanding of the range of resorts and Caribbean destinations on offer.
