SAS and Turkish Airlines start codeshare today

Scandinavian travellers get easier access to Turkey

SAS and its Star Alliance partner Turkish Airlines are today entering into a codeshare agreement, which SAS says offers Scandinavian travellers easier access to six destinations in Turkey. So, as of today, SAS customers are able to book flights operated by Turkish Airlines with an SK flight code, on the SAS website or with a travel agency, from Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Aalborg or Billund to Istanbul and further on to Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir.
In addition, Turkish Airlines will add its code to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia and Finland.
Turkish Airlines operates three daily flights to Copenhagen and Stockholm, 12 weekly flights to Oslo and Helsinki, 10 weekly flights to Gothenburg and three weekly flights to Aalborg/Billund – a total of almost 80 weekly flights between Istanbul and Scandinavia.
“Both tourism and trade between Scandinavia and Turkey have increased with double digit figures the last years”, Joakim Landholm, EVP commercial at SAS commented.
