SAS announces ‘ski route’ to Alps

New route to French Alps in time for ski season 2018
SAS revealed this morning that it would open a new route from Stockholm to Chambéry in the French Alps in time for the peak ski season 2018.
Chambéry Airport is the closest airport to get to and from the popular ski resorts Val d’Isere and Val Thorens, with shuttle buses and car rental outside the terminal building. The route will open on February 3 and depart on Saturdays.
“We see increased demand for flights to ski resorts during the winter and Easter, and we are constantly working to meet our customers’ demand,” says Anders Wahlström, sales manager at SAS Sweden.
The new link is in addition to the carrier’s other routes to the region – Innsbruck, Salzburg, Munich, Geneva, Zurich, Venice and Milan – and will be served with SAS’s new A320neo.
