SAS launches new Madeira route

Weekly flights to Funchal from late October to April
For the next winter-spring season, SAS announced today that it would open a new direct route from Stockholm to the popular Portuguese getaway island of Madeira.
It will fly from Arlanda to Funchal each Saturday between October 28 and April 28.
“We continue to adapt our destinations for our travellers’ needs, and it looks like more and more want to travel with us for leisure, not least in summer,” says Anders Wahlström, SAS Sweden sales director.
“In addition to Portugal, this year we are investing heavily in Spain, Croatia, Italy and Greece. New direct routes during the summer include Lisbon and now we are putting Madeira into the winter program too.”
Meanwhile, SAS is introducing new cabins on all short and medium-haul flights, to be installed continuously in 2017-19, and from autumn 2017 “the market fastest Wi-Fi.”
