SAS named Europe’s most punctual airline for third year

Flightstats says Scandinavian Airlines is Europe’s most punctual airline

Scandinavian Airlines has once again been named Europe’s most punctual airline, for the third year in a row. The independent source Flightstats also says that SAS is the world’s third most major punctual airline, after the Japanese airlines ANA and JAL. During 2011, 88.22% of all of the airline’s flights arrived on time. Out of its 239,320 flights during the year, 208,972 arrived on time. The arrival statistics are an improvement of 2010’s punctuality of 86.47%. In 2009, SAS’ punctuality record was 89.83% and in 2008 it was 83.92%.
Flightstats tracks the performance of more than 150,000 flights a day and archives the data for analysis and publication.
