SAS: “first seven” new routes for 2014

New routes will be from four Scandinavian airports

SAS has announced the “first seven” new routes for the summer 2014 timetable, from four Scandinavian airports.

From the end of March, it will be opening Stockholm-Visby, Stavanger-Edinburgh, Oslo-Edinburgh, Oslo-Aalborg, Oslo-Aberdeen, Oslo-Chania (Crete) and Copenhagen-Leeds Bradford. The launches reflect increased customer demand for new nonstop services, the airline says.

The new routes will go on sale gradually from November 21, and SAS will launch its peak summer timetable on November 25.

Earlier this autumn, SAS opened two new year-round routes, Copenhagen-Bremen and Copenhagen-Humberside, and announced two routes for the winter season 2013: Oslo-Sochi and Copenhagen-Salzburg.

In 2013, the airline launched more than 50 new domestic and European routes, as well as Copenhagen-San Francisco.
