Smoke in cockpit causes emergency incident
A SAS aircraft flying a domestic route from Malmö to Stockholm was speedily evacuated this morning at the Arlanda airport when smoke was reported in the cockpit.
The incident occurred just before 08:30, after the plane landed normally.
“There was smoke coming into the cabin and the plane was evacuated and is now on the runway,” Anders Bryngelsson of the Stockholm police told the newspaper Stockholm Direkt.
Around 200 passengers were on board and no one was hurt in the incident. Emergency services rushed to the scene from five stations, in keeping with protocol for such incidents. It is unclear what caused the smoke.
