New three-year agreement in line with other deals with pilots
The strike called by SAS pilots in Norway to start this week has been cancelled, as the Norwegian Airline Pilots Association agreed to a new collective agreement with the airline and NHO Aviation.
“We have achieved our most important requirements. This allows us to recommend the agreement to our members,” said Jens Lippestad representing the association and Jan Levi Skogvang of the union Parat.
The solution came at 04:00 on Thursday morning after the parties gathered for informal discussions from 14:00 on Wednesday.
SAS says that the new three-year agreement is in line with agreements recently signed with the Swedish and Danish pilot associations and “contains a common ambition to create a long-term profitable SAS”.
