SAS to fly to Tromsø, films approach

Route is airline’s sixth between Denmark and Norway
SAS has a route from Copenhagen to Tromsø due to take off for this coming 2017-18 winter program. It will be the airline’s sixth destination in Norway from Denmark.
There will be two departures a week on the route to the far north of Scandinavia, which will be flown with a Boeing 737 with seating for 181 passengers. Tromsø is located 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle.
The Danes will have the opportunity to see the Northern Lights as well as one of Norway’s most beautiful airport approaches – which SAS recently filmed amid snow-covered landscapes. The film can be seen here.
“We have seen great demand for Tromsø, which has something for those who want to experience nature and the Northern Lights and also for those who are very interested in food and culture,” says Michael Hansen, SAS sales manager.
SAS is flying about 16 daily flights from Copenhagen to Oslo, about six flights a day to Bergen and recently opened a full-year route to Oslo from Aalborg. SAS also flies from Copenhagen to Stavanger, Trondheim and Ålesund.
SAS is also upgrading its frequencies from Copenhagen to Rome and there is an additional departure to Malaga.
