SAS to launch “new generation” loyalty program

New features include high-level EuroBonus Diamond

SAS will launch a “new generation” of its loyalty program EuroBonus from April. The new version will provide “a number of benefits and services to make traveling even easier and better”, the airline says.

Since first being offered in 1992, the loyalty program, which currently has 3.2 million members, has evolved to offer a range of benefits and services from various partners, and this range is now being further increased.

Features will now include EuroBonus Diamond, a new level for those who travel the most. There will be new benefits for Gold members, such as being able to give a silver card as a gift, two extra bags included and increased availability of bonus trips.

The level for Silver membership is lowered to five return trips, while Silver members are given access to the SAS lounge and Fast Track during periods such as Christmas and summer.

Also, all EuroBonus members can call and send a text for free to one another via an app. More innovations are promised soon.

“Historically the loyalty of our customers has been rewarded by awarding points. In the future, our members can also expect loyalty from SAS and will receive unique added value,” said Eivind Roald, executive VP for sales and marketing at SAS.
