SAS to launch from CPH to Tel Aviv

New route from June 4 is one of 28 SAS is opening in 2012

SAS will begin flying direct between Copenhagen and Tel Aviv from June 4. The route is one of 28 that SAS is opening in 2012 and is line, the airline says, with its strategy of strengthening its product offers to both business and leisure passengers. SAS promises the route “all year round at competitive prices”.
“We are seeing increasing demand for routes to and from the Middle East,” Per Møller Jensen, the airline’s vice president for marketing, said. “There is no doubt that a direct route to and from Tel Aviv will attract both tourists and business people from the area to Scandinavia.”
Initially, there will be a departure from Copenhagen to Tel Aviv every Monday. SAS will then expand capacity from July with an additional departure on Thursday and, from October 28, three departures a week.
