Scandic opens new lifestyle hotel venture

Scandic Grand Central opens near Stockholm’s Central Station

The hospitality corporation Scandic opened its new state-of-the-art lifestyle venture Scandic Grand Central near Stockholm’s Central Station on October 1. Scandic says that it wants to develop unpretentious yet innovative hotels that are both considerate of the environment and compassionate. The 391-room Scandic Grand Central will be infused with Stockholm’s “downtown” street culture, the company says, as well as the city’s atmosphere. The property also embraces Scandic’s heavy emphasis on sustainability.
The Scandic Victoria Tower in Kista Science City also opened two weeks ago. It is 34 storeys high, making it the tallest hotel in the Nordic countries, and has a sequin dress appearance resembling something like a towering glass diamond.
