Search is key in new Prague Convention Bureau website

The Czech capital’s new-look website allows users to search an extensive range of service suppliers.

The Prague Convention Bureau has produced a new website, including a search tool that allows event organisers to look for venues and suppliers according to their preferences.

This year, the Prague Convention Bureau celebrates its 10th anniversary and is launching the new website for the occasion.

The site includes a range of information about the Czech capital for event organisers as well as instructions on how to obtain free marketing and financial support for events with the assistance of the convention bureau.

A key feature is the search tool, which can be seen here, allowing website visitors to filter and search for meetings industry service suppliers according to what they need.

The service finder can also search for accommodation, catering, transport and other aspects of a typical group visit, including “preferential viewing of the profiles of suppliers who meet the criteria of the high quality of their services determined by the Prague Convention Bureau,” the bureau explains.

Reliable providers
“Event organizers always face a number of very similar issues at the beginning of planning: finding a suitable venue with sufficient capacity for their event in an easily accessible destination or location with efficient transport options, and also procuring reliable service providers,” says Roman Muška, managing director of the Prague Convention Bureau.

More than 4,000 conferences, congresses and other corporate meetings are held annually in Prague, and Muška stresses that the primary requirement for a new website was that the event organisers could find the answers to their questions in one place.

“For the Czech metropolis, which is currently the world’s eighth most sought-for meetings destination, web presentation is one of the key marketing and sales tools. From the new web, visitors can download various promotional materials and forms to apply, for example, for so-called congress transportation passes, use our destination presentation or video, or send us an inquiry.”
