A romantic escape with erotic touches is promised on a mountain summit in the Alps.
The French Alps resort of La Plagne has launched a world first – a VIP suite located at the top of a mountain in a converted snow groomer.
Perched on the Arpette Summit at 2,400 metres and called Over the Moon, the luxury remote mountain peak hideaway promises to be both an off-the-grid experience and a romantic escape for lovers.
Getting there is apparently done in style too, with private transfer by chauffeur-driven Jaguar to the ski resort of Plagne Bellecôte, then on to the summit by snow groomer.
The suite on the summit comes with VIP touches such as a queen-sized bed, spa bath, flat-screen TV, stereo and coffee machine. Guests will be given a bottle of Champagne and macarons, and there is even a complimentary Lovebox gift including erotic board game, feather and massage oil.
The suite features panoramic windows with views of the mountains and a transparent ceiling for sleeping under stars.
Left alone
The couple are left alone at the summit overnight, with only a radio for communication. Over the Moon has the tagline “What happens at 2000 metres stays at 2000 metres”.
The following morning there is a breakfast of fresh pastries and coffee, after which the guests are collected for their transfer back to the resort and reality.
Over the Moon B&B is priced at €320 for two people and the experience is available until April 28.
