SIA and Lufthansa expand codeshare deal

Convenient access from Billund and Gothenburg via Frankfurt
Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Group are expanding their partnership agreement to “provide customers more benefits through enhanced connections and new codeshare destinations”.
To be progressively made available for booking, the ties will provide SIA customers convenient access to over 20 routes on Lufthansa and SWISS flights, to and from points in Europe via the transfer hubs of Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich.
Via Frankfurt, this includes Billund, Gothenburg and Tallinn as well as Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bologna, Bucharest, Dublin, Edinburgh, Florence, Lisbon, Madrid, Porto and Venice.
Via Munich the agreement includes Madrid, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse, and via Zurich it includes Belgrade, Florence, Lyon, Sofia and Venice.
In turn, Lufthansa and SWISS customers will be able to access new points via SIA-operated flights between Singapore and destinations such as Canberra, Dusseldorf and Wellington.
SIA’s regional subsidiary SilkAir will also progressively introduce new codeshare flights with the Lufthansa Group.
The codeshare operations are the result of a joint venture deal signed in November 2015, which aims to deepen cooperation in key markets in Europe, Southeast Asia and Southwest Pacific.
