SilkAir to get new CEO from September

Leslie Thng was previously SIA’s general manager for Germany

Singapore Airlines’ regional wing SilkAir will have a new chief executive from September 3. This is when the current Singapore Airlines vice president for network planning, Leslie Thng, replaces the incumbent Marvin Tan. Before taking on his current role, Thng was based in Frankfurt as SIA’s general manager for Germany. Before that, he was based in Italy and China. Thng has been working for Singapore’s flag carrier for 13 years, and he joined SilkAir as a board director on 1 April 2012.
Meanwhile, Tan, who has been SilkAir’s CEO since late 2010, will be returning to SIA as senior vice president responsible for cabin crew.
