Silversea is latest cruise line to offer free Wi-Fi

“We know how important it is for travellers to stay connected”
Silversea is the latest cruise line to offer complimentary Wi-Fi to passengers. The package is available on voyages departing January 2016 onwards and means that wireless internet will be available to all guests in all suites and public spaces on all cruises, including expedition cruises.
Every guest will be given at least one hour’s free Wi-Fi per day, while unlimited Wi-Fi will be available to guests sailing in the Owner’s, Grand, Royal, Silver and Medallion suites on the line’s ocean ships. Unlimited Wi-Fi will also be provided on certain suites on the line’s expedition fleet.
Silversea joins Viking Cruises, which also offers unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi on its sailings for all guests, regardless of suite class, while Regent Seven Seas offers limited free Wi-Fi dependent on cabin grade.
“By offering truly free Wi-Fi to all guests regardless of the suite reserved, Silversea is once again setting the standard for all-inclusive luxury,” Steve Odell, Silversea’s president EMEA and Asia Pacific, said. “We know how important it is for travellers to stay informed and connected.”
