Singapore’s Changi Airport wins world’s best

It also wins for Best Airport for Leisure Amenities

Changi Airport, Singapore’s huge hub, has again been named World’s Best Airport at the 2014 Skytrax World Airport Awards in Barcelona, Spain.

It is the fifth time Changi has won the accolade but the first it has won twice in a row. The airport was given a vote of confidence by over 12 million travellers around the globe through the global survey, which is held online each year.

“Winning this prestigious award for the second year in a row, Changi Airport Singapore is showing itself to be much more than an airport,” said Edward Plaisted, chief executive of Skytrax. “Changi demonstrates how to make the airport experience an enjoyable part of the journey that is so important in today’s fast-moving world.”

Changi Airport enjoyed double success at the awards by also winning for Best Airport for Leisure Amenities.
