Stockholm among top business cities

Business travel to Swedish capital is booming thanks to its ICT sector

Business travel to Stockholm is booming. Stockholm’s position is secure as one of the world’s top 15 cities for doing business, according to the international business magazine Fortune. The survey takes into account factors like, innovation, economic growth and comments from business leaders. The Swedish capital’s reputation has been promoted especially by a dynamic ICT sector. “The rise of mobile technology has helped make Stockholm (headquarters city for wireless-gear giant Ericsson) an increasingly hot business centre,” the magazine writes. “Its Kista neighbourhood, sometimes called ‘Wireless Valley’, is populated by some 700 high-tech companies, including Intel, Motorola, Symantec and Oracle – all working on high-end products and services.”
