Strike in Italy brings flight cancellations

Strikes hit flights throughout Italy, especially Milan

Airlines flying to Italy are changing operations following the announcement of a strike by Italian ground handlers. Flight cancellations and disruptions are likely throughout the day today.

Ground handling staff in Italy aim to strike for 24 hours, having started from 00:00 local time on Friday May 30.

In addition, both airport and ground handling at Milan airports say they will strike from 13:00 to 17:00 local time today. Flights to and from Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate and Venice airports will be affected.
