Strikes across Europe planned in coming days

Passengers warned of delays as strikes approach
Airlines are warning of delays to and from Spain this Saturday because of another strike by Spanish air traffic controllers. A 12-hour strike is planned for October 3.
The walkout is the latest action in protest against the treatment of 61 Barcelona-based controllers, who are accused of shutting down airspace during a protest in 2010. A strike last Saturday also caused some disruption to flights.
Budget carrier easyJet warns passengers to “expect moderate delays” this weekend.
Meanwhile, unions for Air France employees plan a strike to take place for Monday, October 5. Travel management company Carlson Wagonlit said, “It is currently unclear how much of an impact this industrial action will have on Air France operations, but travellers should be prepared for flight delays and cancellations.”
And Italian airport workers plan to strike on October 8 between 13:00 and 17:00, which “could cause some delays and cancellations,” CWT said.
