Strikes in France and UK may disrupt flights

Norwegian passengers may be affected by Stansted strike

Baggage handlers at Air France have staged a strike starting this morning, to last until 04:00 on Wednesday April 4. Pilots and cabin crews are not involved, but the airline’s management warn that limited problems are expected. The airline has not stated whether it has a contingency plan in place. Air traffic controllers at minor airports in France are also involved in the strike.
Meanwhile, baggage handlers are preparing to go on strike at London Stansted, with 150 baggage handlers working for the company Swissport ready to walk out from Good Friday (April 6) until Easter Monday (April 9). Swissport provides handling services to airlines such as Norwegian, Ryanair, Thomson Airways and Turkish Airlines.
